Robin Wade - Owner of Acadia MassageRobin Wade

Robin Wade is the owner of, and the only full-time year-round Maine Licensed Massage Therapist at Acadia Massage and Craniosacral Therapy. She is Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners. Trained in Craniosacral Therapy since 1985, Robin is a CST I, CST II, SER I and SER II. Teaching Assistant with Dr. John Upledger's Upledger Institute and a member of the American Cranio-Sacral Therapy Association. Robin has also done advanced therapy training with French Osteopath, Dr. Paul Chaffour in his Mechanical Link Therapy (a type of structural reintegration), and with Manual Therapist Ariel Wilcox in her Access Therapy Program. Robin is trained in Myofascial Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Somato Emotional work, Reiki, Sports Massage, Foot Reflexology, and Swedish-type massage. In addition, Robin has completed ministry studies, hospice training, organizational behavior and business training, and is a former member of Toastmasters International and is a public speaker. She graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, and from the Center of the Light two year Training for Healers program. She has worked in massage since 1985, including at Kripalu Holistic Health Center, and in the Bershires, Sedona, and Hawaii before moving to Mount Desert Island in 1991.
